M.S., CCC-SLP, QOM
Hi! I'm Jackie, owner and founder of Sun Rises Speech & Language Services, PLLC.
I am a national certified and state licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and a Qualified Orofacial Myologist. I have been a bilingual pediatric therapist for over 12 years serving children ages birth to 18 in the state of Texas. I am passionate about early intervention, orofacial myology, providing treatment in the child’s most natural environment and working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
I have had the opportunity to professionally work with children with Orofacial Myology Disorders, Feeding Disorders, Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Articulation/Phonological Disorders.
I am licensed by the board of Texas and maintain the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Additionally, I am recognized as a Qualified Orofacial Myologist by Neo-Health Services. According to Neo-Health Services, Inc., the QOM designation indicates that the professional holding the QOM credential has been trained according to the highly recognized instructional standards of Neo-Health Services and adheres to the values and principals expected of a QOM. Given my passion in this specialized field, I am also a member of Hallie Bulkin's Myo Membership, where I receive monthly continuing educational courses in the area of orofacial myology.
I have received special training in Feeding Therapy by completing and graduating from Feed the Peds, a comprehensive 12-week course, as well as hands-on feeding training throughout my clinical experience. Additional trainings I have received include, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).
I live in Red Rock, Tx with my husband and two daughters. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, traveling, listening to Functional Medicine and Health and Wellness podcasts, and exploring local coffee shops.
